Editorial update: September 12, 2026. Published by ReHair.
Regulatory terms should be specific and traceable. FDA clearance and FDA approval are different pathways; neither should be used as a general badge for all products described as laser hair-growth technology. This article does not assert that an unspecified ReHair model is FDA cleared or approved.
What to request from a seller
Ask for the manufacturer, exact device name or model, relevant regulatory reference and the intended use it covers. Compare those details with the product you are considering. A reference for another device, an establishment registration or a broad statement about technology is not a substitute for model-specific verification.
Check the official record
Use FDA resources to check a regulatory statement rather than relying only on a badge image. A 510(k) clearance concerns substantial equivalence for the relevant intended use; it should not be rewritten as a guarantee that every buyer will regrow hair. If the record and listing do not clearly match, ask for clarification.
Clinical evidence is a separate question
- Request the original study rather than a percentage copied into an advertisement.
- Check the device, participants, comparison and outcome measured.
- Distinguish research about a category from evidence for an exact commercial model.
- Look for limitations and follow-up information, not just the headline result.
Apply this before choosing a routine
Regulatory language also does not supply a treatment schedule. Obtain the matching manual before using a device. The former universal six-minute instruction has been removed. You can contact ReHair support about the documentation for a specific listing; missing evidence should remain an open question, not become an assumed endorsement.
